How to Change, Upgrade, or Downgrade Your AfterShip Plan

Overview


Need to access more advanced features or adjust your AfterShip Tracking plan to fit your business needs? You can easily upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time, whether you’re billed via AfterShip (Stripe) or Shopify.

Upgrade your plan (AfterShip Billing Users)


AfterShip billing users are the ones using Stripe for payment processing.


  1. Go to Billing in your AfterShip Tracking settings.
  • You can view your current plan, usage quota, and billing cycle details in the Current plan section.
  1. Select Upgrade now to open the comparison table of AfterShip Tracking plans.



  1. Choose the desired plan and click Choose {plan}.
  2. A confirmation window will appear showing the new plan details. Review the information, then click Upgrade plan to finalize the upgrade.




Downgrade your plan (AfterShip Billing Users)


  1. Go to Billing in your AfterShip Tracking settings.
  • You can view your current plan, usage quota, and billing cycle details in the Current plan section.
  1. Click the (....) icon, then Downgrade to open the comparison table of AfterShip Tracking plans.
  2. Choose the desired plan to downgrade to and click Choose {plan}.
  3. A confirmation window will appear showing the new plan details. Review the information, then click Downgrade plan to finalize the upgrade.


Upgrade your plan (Shopify billing users)


If your AfterShip account is connected to Shopify, your subscription is managed through your Shopify billing.


  1. Go to Billing in your AfterShip Tracking settings.
  • You can view your current plan, usage quota, and billing cycle details in the Current plan section.
  1. Select Upgrade now to open the comparison table of AfterShip Tracking plans.
  2. Choose the desired plan and click Choose {plan}.
  3. Click Confirm and you will be directed to your Shopify store.
  4. Click Approve subscription.
  5. You’ll be redirected back to AfterShip, and your new plan will be activated.


Downgrade your plan (Shopify billing users)


  1. Go to Billing in your AfterShip Tracking settings.
  • You can view your current plan, usage quota, and billing cycle details in the Current plan section.
  1. Click the (....) icon, then Downgrade to open the comparison table of AfterShip Tracking plans.
  2. Choose the desired plan and click Choose {plan}.
  3. Click Confirm and you will be directed to your Shopify store.
  4. Click Approve subscription.
  5. You’ll be redirected back to AfterShip, and your new plan will be activated.


FAQs


1. When does an upgrade take effect?


Upgrades are applied immediately after confirmation. You’ll gain access to new features and tracking limits right away.


2. When does a downgrade take effect?


Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. You’ll continue to use your current plan until the current cycle ends.


3. How long is each billing cycle?


Each billing cycle lasts 30 days.


4. How do I upgrade from a Free Plan to a Paid Plan?


  1. Go to Home in your AfterShip admin.
  2. Click Upgrade Now on your Free plan.
  3. Choose a plan from the pricing page.
  4. Select Tracking only or Bundle.
  5. Choose your billing period and enter payment details.
  6. Click Upgrade plan to confirm.


5. Can I use one AfterShip subscription across multiple platforms?


Yes! A single AfterShip subscription supports multiple stores across different platforms (e.g. Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento).


6. Can I test the plan features before purchasing?

7. How can I upgrade to the Enterprise plan?
