How to Update Webhook Secret

Overview


With AfterShip Tracking, you stay updated all the time as we send webhook events to your systems as soon as any particular event takes place. You can even update webhook secret with AfterShip to wipe out your security-related concerns.


Steps to update webhook secret


  1. Go to Notifications > Webhooks in your your AfterShip Tracking admin
  2. Tap on Rotate to generate a new webhook secret



  1. A new webhook secret will be generated. Activate the new webhook secret and make the necessary changes for your webhook-integrated add-ons.


  • Each notification will be signed with this new secret moving onwards.


Activating this secret will replace your previous one. Make sure the new secret is compatible with your system first.
