Install the AfterShip Protection Widget on Your WooCommerce Store

Overview


In order to install the AfterShip Protection widget on your WooCommerce store, you can contact our expert to install it for you, or you can install it yourself.


If you want our expert to install the widget for you, you can share a WooCommerce account with us, so that we can install it for your store.

Share your WooCommerce account


To share your account with us, all you have to do is assign us your WooCommerce store and grant us (our representative) the Administrator role.


  1. Go to Users in your WooCommerce store admin
  2. Move to Add new tab and click Add new user
  3. An email notification will be sent to the AfterShip representative to whom you've assigned the administrative rights
  4. We will install the AfterShip Protection widget on your WooCommerce store for you and keep you updated on the same



Install Protection widget in your store


A. Install AfterShip Tracking plugin


  1. Go to Plugins > Add New in your WooCommerce admin
  2. Search AfterShip. Click Activate for the AfterShip Tracking plugin
  3. On the integration page, click Connect now and choose an organization to install this app on
  4. Click Approve to allow AfterShip Tracking access to your WooCommerce store data and you are done


  1. You can manually download the AfterShip Plugin from https://wordpress.org/plugins/aftership-woocommerce-tracking



  1. Go to Plugins > Add New. Upload and install plugin
  2. Click Activate plugin and repeat the steps 3 and 4.



B. Find the WooCommerce checkout page file and insert a script into it


  1. Go to Plugins > Plugin File Editor in your WooCommerce admin
  2. Select WooCommerce for Select plugin to edit


  3. Locate the PHP file of the checkout page (template > checkout > form.checkout-php) where you'd like to add the widget. Typically, this file can be found in /woocommerce/templates/checkout/. Once located, copy and paste the script into the desired location on the page.

In the below example screenshot, we have added the widget (code) under the title Your order



  1. Click Update File to save the changes


If the merchant updates the WooCommerce plugin, the AfterShip Protection widget will be removed, and needs to be inserted again.
