Manually Import Shipments to AfterShip Tracking

Plans: All plans Platforms: All platforms

Overview

AfterShip Tracking allows merchants to manually import shipments directly from the dashboard. This feature is useful for entering shipments that aren’t captured automatically via integrations or file uploads.

Click Add shipment on the Shipments dashboard
Fill in the Shipment, Order, and Customer information and hit Save shipment

Once the shipment is added, it will display on the Shipments dashboard
Click on individual shipments to view their complete details on the side panel

You can edit the shipment details, customer information, and add additional info as per your requirement on this side panel.

Duplicate or identical tracking numbers can be imported to AfterShip only when they have different carriers.

Troubleshooting

If there is an error when saving a shipment with an existing tracking number, ensure the carrier is different if you're reusing a tracking number. AfterShip only allows duplicate tracking numbers with different carriers.
If the tracking status is incorrect or info is not updating, then double-check that the carrier name and tracking number are correctly entered.

Key takeaways

Manual entry is quick and straightforward: Use the Add shipment button on the dashboard to manually input shipment, order, and customer details.
Shipments appear immediately: Once saved, the shipment appears in the Shipments dashboard, ready for tracking.
