Remove Your AfterShip Organization/Account

Overview



AfterShip account can be deactivated once the subscription plan gets canceled.

Removing an AfterShip account is a 2-step procedure:

Delete organization(s) associated with your AfterShip account
Delete AfterShip Account

1. Delete organizations



If your account is connected to multiple organizations and you are the owner, you need to delete them all first or get yourself removed from the member list of the organization if you are not the owner.

If you are the owner



Complete the following checklist before deletion:

Pre-deletion Checklist:

Organization owner can delete business data by deleting the organization. To delete the organization, the owner must pass the checklist.

Requirements failed to complete will be displayed on the banner as shown:


Cancel all active subscriptions and make sure all subscriptions expire.
a. To cancel the subscription, follow the below steps:

Go to Settings > Organization settings > Billing.


Cancel the subscription.


If the user cannot delete the organization after canceling the plans (as the subscription is active), you need to contact the support team.

Remove all members from the organization.

To remove a member, go to Members > Admin > Remove from organization.


Resolve negative balances.
Delete all apps installed on the organization.

Go to Apps > Delete.


Delete any custom domains.

Delete custom domains in Organization > Domains.


Once all tasks are complete:

Move to Manage organization.


Select Organization settings > Delete organization.


Deleting organization will remove all of its data from the AfterShip account. This action can be reversed.

A pop-up will appear on the screen to verify email, click Send code to proceed further.


Check your mail inbox and enter the verification code in the text field provided.
Click Verify to delete the organization.

Once deletion is initiated, the request cannot be revoked.


Type the organization name to confirm deletion and click Delete.


If you are not the owner



Please contact the owner or admin to remove you from the organization you are a member of.

2. Delete AfterShip account



Once your account is no longer connected to any organization, you can delete your account permanently.

Go to organization name > Manage account.


Move to Security > Delete account.

If you are not connected to any organization or a part of any organization, you will see the option of Delete account activated otherwise, it will be greyed out.

Click Delete account to delete your account permanently.
