Understanding AfterShip Pricing Models and Plan Selection

Overview


AfterShip Tracking offers a tiered pricing model designed to accommodate businesses of various sizes and needs. The pricing structure is based on the number of shipments processed per month, with additional charges for overages beyond the included quota.

For higher volumes, or if you require more than the standard monthly quota, the plan moves to a custom setup under Pro or Premium. Customers will need to contact the AfterShip Sales team for additional quota or custom pricing.

Premium: $0.12 per extra shipment

These plans are billed monthly, with an 18% discount available for annual billing. (Learn more >)


Membership Plan


  • Add unlimited members and pay only for the seats you need.
  • Seats give each member access to AfterShip features.
  • Team Plan starts at $10/seat (annual) or $12/seat (monthly).
  • Enterprise Plan offers custom pricing with advanced controls.

Billing and payment methods


AfterShip supports various payment methods to facilitate transactions (AfterShip Supported Payment Methods):


  1. Credit Cards: We accept all major credit cards via Stripe
  2. Shopify Billing: Payments can be made through your Shopify subscription. 


Invoices can be accessed and managed through the Billing section under Organization settings in your AfterShip account. You can update payment methods, view invoice details, and download invoices in PDF format (Manage AfterShip Payment Details).


Free plan vs. trial plan


Free and trial plans are two different plans:


The AfterShip Free Plan is a permanent plan that lets you use AfterShip at no cost with limited features and a fixed shipment quota each month–50 shipments per month. It’s great for small-scale use or testing basic tracking needs without paying anything.


The AfterShip Trial Plan, on the other hand, is a temporary 7-day plan only to test premium features before purchasing a subscription. You can explore many of the advanced features before upgrading to a paid plan. Once the trial ends, you need to choose a paid plan to continue using those premium features.


Plan upgrades and overage charges


If your shipments quota goes over the monthly limit, extra charges apply for the additional shipments, depending on your current plan. To avoid this, you can upgrade your plan anytime during the billing cycle, and the upgrades take effect immediately. The plan is valid until the end of the current billing period. Please note, unused shipment quota doesn’t carry over to the next billing cycle. (AfterShip Tracking Monthly Service Plans)


For businesses with fluctuating shipment volumes, AfterShip's flexible pricing and billing options provide scalability and cost management.


Additional considerations


AfterShip Tracking also offers three tiers of support. This includes:


  • Standard Support– included with all plans
  • Silver Support– 20% of subscription fee (min $200/month)
  • Gold Support– 30% of subscription fee (min $400/month)
