Connect Attentive With AfterShip Tracking

Overview


Customers appreciate brands when they receive timely notifications related to their orders. It keeps their mind at ease and enhances their post-purchase experience.


By integrating Attentive with AfterShip, it gets easier to push SMS notifications for different checkpoints. Here are the integration steps:


Gather required information for authorization


1. Add Webhook URL


  1. Go to Marketplace in your Attentive admin and select AfterShip Tracking.



  1. Copy the URL from the Webhook Destination URL field under Settings tab.



  1. Navigate to Notifications in your AfterShip Tracking admin > Webhooks > Add Webhook URL.



  1. Paste the copied URL (obtained from Attentive) under Webhook URL field > Click Save.
  2. Copy your Webhook secret for later use.



  1. Select the events for which you want to get notifications for.



2. Generate API key


  1. Go to  Settings in your AfterShip Tracking account. Click on API keys under {/} Developers.
  2. Click Create API key and give your key a name.



  1. Select API key as signature.
  2. Choose Admin API permissions as per your needs and click Save.



  1. Copy your API Key and download the API key file for easy reference


3. Copy your tracking page URL


  1. Go to Tracking pages in your AfterShip Tracking admin
  2. Select tracking page variation and copy the URL under URLs and domain



Set up the integration in Attentive


  1. Go to your Attentive account and browse the integration setup page and choose AfterShip.



  1. Paste your copied API Key, Tracking Page URL, and Webhook Secret in the given fields.


  • In case you don’t collect opt-ins via Shopify, enable the Create Transactional Subscriptions setting to use AfterShip data for creating transactional subscriber records in Attentive.



  1. Click on Set up integration to establish a connection with AfterShip Tracking successfully.


You can now create a transactional journey using AfterShip triggers.


  • On the Overview page, select a journey from under the Journeys tab and click Create journey. Set up the flow as per your requirements with Attentive's Journey editor



Disable AfterShip SMS notifications to avoid sending duplicate SMS notifications while using Attentive.
